B&S Precision Engineering collaborated with AME to develop new prototypes using hardened D2/K110 through-hardened and tempered steel, known for its exceptional hardness and wear resistance. These materials were specifically chosen to address the durability concerns while maintaining the high-quality crimping performance. Rigorous testing was conducted to assess the tool’s longevity and reliability under operational conditions.
Ongoing trials of the D2/K110 prototypes are showing significant improvements in durability while maintaining the desired crimping quality.
